Caregiver Guidance & Support
The GUIDE Group offers parent guidance and support using various evidence-based and supported treatments, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, ACT for parents, other treatment-informed strategies, and GUIDE. Depending on your child's age and needs, different strategies and approaches are identified to individualize the services and skills to best fit your family and your child.
Services
GUIDE
Caregivers are a key aspect of their child's emotional and regulatory learning. GUIDE is geared towards caregivers learning about their own and their child's emotions, emotional history, and strategies to effectively manage emotions and behaviors in the moment.
PCIT
For families with children in early childhood (ages 2-7), PCIT is a play-based therapy focused on enhancing attachment and behavioral strategies to behavioral and emotional concerns. Unlike most treatments, PCIT includes live-coaching during which the clinician can observe the emotions and related behaviors in the moment to provide direct and immediate feedback.
ACT for Caregivers
Do you want to see your child as a problem to be fixed or a sunrise to be appreciated? Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for caregivers strengthens your ability to manage your own and your child's difficult thoughts and emotions with openness and curiosity, while learning to help your child fully and meaningfully engage in their lives while you engage in yours.
Caregiver Coaching
The GUIDE Group works to provide caregivers the support that they need. This may include CBT- and DBT-informed strategies, behavioral parenting training, skills to manage children's or teens' anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors.
